In recognition of World Heritage Day, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and representatives from the Ohio History Connection, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Ohio Department of Development unveil a re-imagined rest area on I-70 westbound in Licking County this afternoon. The rest area focuses on encouraging travelers to visit central Ohio attractions as well as Ohio's nearby historical areas of significance, including eight locations that are part of Ohio's first UNESCO World Heritage listing.
The re-imagined rest area is part of Governor DeWine's vision to greatly improve the traveler experience for the thousands of visitors who stop at Ohio rest areas every day.
